Thanks for visiting goerdt.com., the online portfolio of Alex Goerdt. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Graphic Communications and a minor in Marketing. As a student, I studied all facets of the graphic arts industry. I learned about prepress, press and finishing techniques throughout my undergraduate journey. As I continued my studies I realized that prepress was the area that I enjoyed the most. During available time, my next step was freelance design work for a number of local businesses and organizations. Original design work has been extremely beneficial to my growth as a graphic artist. It is something that I enjoy very much and allows me to use my creative talents to provide a value-added resource to my clients.

My internship at the Center for Educational Technology has also given me real life experience throughout the past two years. At the CET, I have had a chance to create websites for clients within the University setting.
